The white-water Rivers flowing from highest Himalayan peaks of far western Himalayan region and sacred Hindu pilgrimage site Manasarovar have various species of fish steering and swimming in pristine water.

Seti river drains out from snowcapped mountains Api (7132m) and Saipal (7031m) and receives many snow feds rives on the way and Karnali rivers originates from Manasarovar bordering to Tibet and flows southwards collecting other tributaries like Rara Lake, Mugu Karnali and Humla Karnali.

Seti Karnali Fishing package is for the anglers who are keen to fish in undisturbed rivers and are interested to have thrilling experience of rafting in 3 plus grade rapid along with exploring rustic life of hilly people of river basin civilization. 15 days fishing trip starts with about 1-hour scenic flight to the Dhangahdi airport followed by 7-hour drive to Dipayal from where we start rafting with fishing in Seti river for first five days and float in Karnali river for rest of the days.

Seti and Karnali rivers are dwelling places of rare and distinct species of fish like Golden Masheer (Tor putitora) and the Silver Masheer (Tor tor), Sahar, Bokar, giant catfish, and Asla. Fishing enthusiasts and rafting lover love to catch Masheer and release back to rivers as these fish are on the verge of extinction. In span of 175 km Seti Karnali has famous fishing spots which have been used by local fishing veterans since time ages. The places where most fish are available are Kohelpur, Jungle Ghat, Scorpian beach, God’s House, Juicer, Flip and Strip, Thulighat, and Rato Bhale Gaun.

During 14 days of rafting in Seti and Karnali river we come across the III grade rapid and deep gorges, so we have to book experience rafting and fishing guides and have to fully equipped and prepared with supplies as we stay in remote area. Trip Itinerary

Day

Kathmandu Arrival

Upon arriving in Tribhuvan International Airport, representative from Real Adventure Nepal Tour and Travel, welcomes you in arrival terminal and transfer you to hotel in the downtown of Kathmandu. After check in to hotel, freshen you up and have some rest. If you come Kathmandu in morning you can also have short guided tour to UNESCO listed World Heritage sites. In evening professional rafting guide visits, you and briefs you about some preparation to be done for rafting and fishing. Overnight in hotel.

Fly to Nepalgunj, 6/7 hours’ drive to Gopghat, overnight in tented camp.

Representative from Real Adventure Nepal Tour and Travel transfer you to Kathmandu domestic airport. After one-hour scenic flight we reach to Nepalgunj airport and meet rafting and fishing members. Then we will have jeep ride to Kohalpur where we meet east-west highway. After Kohalpur we drive via Mahakali Hoghway via beautiful settlement of Terai area followed by the snaky highway in hilly forest of rhododendron and pine trees. When you reach to Syaule Bazar we take right turn and drive via Seti Highway entering into thick forest followed by beautiful farming terraces spreading on the both sides of Seti River. 7-hour jeep ride finally takes us to beautiful town Dipayal Gopghat) situated in bank of Seti River. Upon arriving in Gopghat, we set our camp near River Bank of Seti Karnlai River. Overnight in Tent.

Day

Rafting and Fishing in Camp 1

Today is the first day of our angling in Seti. We wake up early in morning, have breakfast and make the rafts ready. After being well equipped and briefed by rafting professional, we start rafting. One raft with ration and supplies goes before us and waits in Camp 1. Today we float over Seti passing beautiful farming terraces, and settlements on both sides of river for sometimes. We will raft in medium grade rapid today. Pristine vegetation, small streams and waterfalls give us very peaceful feeling. After 3-4 hour rafting we reach to Camp 1 for lunch. After lunch we set fishing rod and enjoy fishing all the day. In evening, we enjoy camp fire, drinks and tasty food. As Goonch fish is active in night we can even make good catch in nighttime also.

Fishing in Camp 1

From very morning we start fishing around Camp 1. We try fishing each and every corners around and there will be high chances of catching Golden Maseer, Goonch and Asala. In the day local farmer and animal herders may visit us and observe the fishing. Breakfast, Lunch and dinner will be served at camp along with camp fire and night angling. Overnight in Camp 1.

Day

Rafting and fishing and overnight in Camp 2 (Budhi Ganga Confluence)

After breakfast, we start rafting in a medium level rapid. We admire view of unspoiled forest on the both sides of river as well as we pass beautiful springs on the way. We will have picnic lunch and reach to Camp 3 in late afternoon. Camp 3 is located in very isolated place surrounded with lush forest around nearby confluence of Seti and Budhi Ganga. We will do angling around confluence all the day. Today also we are likely to catch Himalayan trout, Sahar, Masheers and Goonch. In evening we enjoy camp fire along with tasty dine with night fishing. Overnight in Camp 2.

Fishing in Camp 2

For the entire day we will fish around Camp 2. We will trek alongside of Budi Ganga for an hour and fish their until lunch time. We come back to Camp for lunch and do fishing in nearby area. As always today also we camp fire, fish and drink in the evening. Overnight in Camp 2

Day

Rafting to Camp 3 (Scorpion Camp) and Fishing.

Having pleasing breakfast, we raft towards Camp 3, which is also known as Scorpion Camp. Today also we raft in isolated region for 3 hour and reach to Scorpion Camp. Scorpion Camp is situated at the confluence of Seti and Karnali. After having lunch we fish around Camp 3 till evening. Peaceful place with twittering of birds and some glimpse of wild jackal, rabbits and other birds. In evening we enjoy campfire, barbeque and fishing Goonch. Overnight in Camp 3.

Day

Fishing at Camp 3

For the whole day, we fish around Camp 3. Camp 3 has chances of catching Golden Masheer and Silver Masheer, Bokar and giant catfish. We set fishing rod corners of Seti and Karnali riand and make more catches and release the catches back to river. River confluence are best place to catch migrating fishes. Overnight in Camp 3.

Rafting and Fishing at Camp 4 (Masheer Camp)

After 5 days rafting in fishing in Seti, today we raft and enjoy in pristine water of Karnali River. After having breakfast we raft to most favorite fishing spot called Masheer Camp. Rafting across III grade rapid of Karnali and passing through narrow gorge we reach to Cmap 4 after four hour rafting. Upon arriving in Masheer Camp we have lunch and set fishing rod to catch valuable golden and silver Masheer. This place has record of catching 2-3 kg Maheers in the past. In evening we enjoy camp fire, snack, drinks and dinner. Overnight in Masheer Camp.

10 & 11

Fishing in Camp 4

Today we will fish in the nearby area of Camp 4. After breakfast we trek nearby areas in search of fishes. Have some photo shoot with our catches and enjoy angling with several catches. Named after Masheer fish, Camp 4 and nearby areas have more golden and silver Masheer, catfish and Himalayan trout. In evening we enjoy campfire, snacks and dinner along with angling in night to catch Goonch. Overnight in Masheer Camp.

Day

Rafting in Karnali River.

Today we will only do rafting. All the day we raft over rapid currents of more than 3 grade and pass via narrow gorge of Karnali. We will have picnic lunch in between. After adventurous rafting we reach to Rato Bhale Gaun where we set our camp. In evening we will enjoy campfire, snack and dinner. Overnight in Rato Bhale Gaun.

Day

Rafting to Ghat Gaun and Fishing.

After having breakfast, we raft towards Ghat Gaun for three hours. Upon arriving Ghat Gaun we will set our camp at river bank and start angling in Karnali River. Today we meet other local fishing veterans who have been living their life by fishing since ages. Today we likey catch, catfish, Asala and Masheers etc. In evening also angler try to catch Goonch and enjoy campfire and dinner in Camp. Overnight in Ghat Gaun.

Day

Raft till Chisapani and out, drive to Nepalgunj, fly to Kathmandu.

Today is last day of our trip. After breakfast we fish for sometimes and raft to Chisapani, the put out point of rafting. Chiapani is beautiful tourist place situated on the bottom of hill from where Karnali widens its size and enter into Terai area. After enjoying mouthwatering lunch with local fish in Chisapani we drive to Nepalgunj to catch late afternoon flight to Kathmandu. Upon arriving Kathmandu domestic airport, representative from Real Adventure Nepal Tour and travel transfer you to hotel in Kathmandu. Overnight in Hotel.

Final Departure.

According to your flight status we arrange airport drop service. If your flight is in evening you can request for guided tour to historical and cultural sites of Kathmandu valley. You can visit Thamel, the tourist hub of Nepal and do souvenir shopping and enjoy verities of foods. Our representative comes to your hotel, transfer you to TIA and bid adieu.
