Trip Plan

Day 1:Kathmandu Arrival & Transfer to Hotel

On your arrival in Kathmandu, Nepal airport, Representative from Himalayan River Fun welcomes you in Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer to you to the one of the famous hotels in center of Kathmandu. Evening trip briefing, necessary last minutes arrangements and Overnight in Hotel.

Day 2:Fly to Biratnagar, drive to Barahakshetra and Mai Beni Camp

After breakfast, a private car comes to your hotel to transfer you to domestic airport. We takes 40 minutes scenic flight with spectacular Himalayas view to the north and green hills and valleys to the south. In Biratnagar we will meet our fishing crew and local guide. A hired four-wheeler jeep takes us to Dhanarn city from where we drive north via, beautiful hills and green forest for 1 hour. Then we drive down to Barahakshetra temple, where we will have lunch. After lunch we cross suspension bridge over small stream we enter into lush tropical forest and walk alongside of Khoshi River for about 4 hours to reach to Mai Beni, confluence of Tamor and Khosi River. The place is situated at the bottoms of hills echoed with pleasant and gentle sound of river. Upon arriving we will set up our camp and prepare fishing rod. In evening also we can put fishing rod in river and expect Golden Masheer be caught in the very first day. Dinner and overnight in tent.

Day 3:Full Day Fishing in Mai Beni

Today we fish for entire day in Mai Beni. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and tea & coffee will be served. We will try in different corners and wait for Golden Maseer shaking fishing rods. Overnight in Tent.

Day 4:Whole day angling in Mai Beni and overnight in Camp

We will catch other species of fish except Golden Maseer. We catch and release the fish but we can cook some fish and eat with our meals. Overnight in Tent.

Day 5:Trek to Aqua, fish and trek back to Mai Beni.

After breakfast we will trek alongside of Khosi river via green forest and farming terraces for two hours to reach to Aqua confluence. We will fish in Aqua confluence, where we may visit local fishermen and famers. Until lunch we will fish in Aqua Confluence and return back to Mai Beni. We will spend remaining hours by angling around Mai Beni. Overnight in Tent.

Day 6-8:Fishing in Mai Beni and Surrounding areas.

For nest three days we will do fishing here and there in different locations arounb Mai Beni and trek to nearby villages to avoid monotonousness and to freshen up. If you catch the Golden Maseer in 6th and 7th days we can move to Triveni in eight days. Living in solitude in very peaceful surrounding gives you positive vibes and you feel spiritual enlightenment also. Overnights in Tent

Day 9:Trek to Triveni and fishing in surrounding areas.

Today we will trek to another popular fishing destination Triveni. After breakfast we will trek to the north from Mai Beni. Two hours trekking via forest alongside of river bank takes us toTriveni. Triveni is the place where three rives meets. Upon reaching Triveni we set out camp and have lunch. After lunch we set our fishing rod and fishing around Triveni. Overnight in Tent.

Day 10-12:Fishing in Triveni and surrounding locations.

For next three days we do angling and fly fishing the confluence of three rivers and surrounding areas. We will apply various tricks and change the locations fishing. We will enjoy photo-shoot with catch in our hands. Overnight in Tent.

Day 13:Trek or drive to Barahkshetra and continue drive to Biratnagar, departure to Kathmandu

After 11 days of fishing in Koshi and Tamor rivers, we trek back to Barahakshetra via same route that we took earlier. On the way we pass through beautiful rainforest, streams and sometimes by dangerous stone cliffs. We will enjoy mesmerizing views and encounter with local people working in farming terraces. After four hours trekking, we reach to Barahasketra for lunch. We will visit ancient Hindu Temple and drive back to Biratnagar airport. We see off our fishing crew and take late afternoon flight back to Kathmandu. From Kathmandu domestic airport we will be transferred to hotel and have good rest and enjoy delicious dinner. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 14:Final Departure

According to your flight schedule we will manage private car for airport transfer. If you have free time we can arrange short guided tour to Patan Durbar Square and other cultural, historical sites of Kathmandu valley. You can visit Thamel, the tourist hub for souvenir shopping and enjoying the foods of your choice. We will transfer you to TIA and bid farewell.
