Trip Plan

Day 1:Kathmandu Arrival and Transfer to Hotel, overnight in Hotel

Representative from Himalayan River Fun welcomes you in Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer to you to the one of the famous hotels in center of Kathmandu. If you arrive earlier, you can have guided tour to UNESCO listed cultural sites of Kathmandu including Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath, and Bouddhanath. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 2:Fly to Biratnagar, drive to Chimra through Dharan, Camp at Chimra.

Today we catch first flight from Kathmandu to Biratnagar. Half an hour flight flies over snowcapped mountains and lush forest of green hills and valleys. In Biratnagar we will meet our fishing crew and take jeep ride to Chimra at the Himalayan region highway. We drive west from Biratangar to Dharan, beautiful city located at foothill then drive uphill in snaky highway until we reach to Mul Ghat for lunch. After lunch we leave main highway and drive to Chimra in a dusty road. About five hour jeep ride from Biratnagar takes us to Chimra, put in point of fishing. After crossing suspension bridge we move to other side of small river, where we set out tent for camping tonight. Overnight in Camp.

Day 3-4:Fishing in Chimra

From early morning we set up fishing rod and may make god catch of Golden and Silver Masheer. Tamor River houses Maheers more than other rivers. After breakfast we trek to nearby areas of Chimra and try to make catch. All the day we enjoy angling in Chimra. In evening also we do fishing as Goonch are more active in night. Enjoy camp fire, dancing and singing along with tasty dinner. We will repeat same activities in next day also. Overnights in Chimra.

Day 5:Trek/Drive to Ghangeri

After two days fishing in Chimra, we trek to Ghangeri. After breakfast, we follow the trail alongside of Tamor River. On the way pass by pristine forest, waterfalls and cross small streams. We walk on relatively smooth route except some ups and down. We will encounter with local farmer working in paddy fields and cattle herders. About 5-6 hour trek takes us to Ghangeri where we set up our camp and enjoy evening with campfire, dancing, singing and, fishing. Overnight in Ghangeri.

Day 6-7:Fishing in Ghangeri

For next two days we will do angling in nearby areas of Ghangeri .We hopefully make more catches of Golden and Silver Masheer of more than 5 kg and other fishes like Asla, Goonch and Rau. We will trek nearby villages and hill top shortly to skip the monotonousness of fishing. Enjoy the photo shoot with your catches and release them back to river proudly. Overnights in Ghangeri.

Day 8:Trek to Mai Beni

After well spent two angling days in Ghangeri, we trek to famous fishing spot Mai Beni, situated in the confluence of Arun and Dudh Koshi. After breakfast we, trek alongside of Tamor river and enter into lush forest. After one hour we cross suspension bridge over Tamor in Ahale and we reach to Chintang village, walking via paddy fields in a smooth trail. Midway to Mai Beni, we arrive in Simle where we will have lunch and ascend to the hill top from where we enjoy panoramic view of snowcapped mountains. A short trek form hill top takes us to Mai Beni Confluence where we will fish for next 4 days. Overnight in Mai Beni Camp.

Day 9-12:Fishing in Mai Beni

For next four days we will be angling in different places nearby Mai Beni. Mai Beni is best places to catch fishes of various species especially for Golden Masheer and Goonch. During four day's fishing, we trek to Aqua confluence and Triveni for angling there. Take photos and videos of fish catching and release your catch back to river. We can also fish in night time nearby or camp and enjoy campfire, snacks and fresh dinner along with dancing and singing. Overnights in Mai Beni Camp.

Day 13:Trek / Drive to Barahachetra, drive to Biratnagar and depart to Kathmandu

After 9 days of trekking and fishing, today we will trek for last day via scenic landscape alongside of Khosi river passing by lush tropical forest, paddy fields and farming terraces. After 4 hour trek we reach to famous Hindu Pilgrimage site Barahakshetra where we will visit ancient temple and have lunch. After lunch we will drive to Biratnagar and catch flight back to Kathmandu. In Kathmandu domestic airport representative from Real Adventure Nepal Tour and Travel waits you to transfer to hotel.

Day 14:Final Departure
